Some Thoughts on Food ...

Let's try something new here ....

Imagine you'd throw all the things you have ever heard about food over board!

Eating meat causes cancer? - Forget it for a moment.

Is organic food really that organic? - Don't even stress your brain about it.

Will I be a better person if i turn vegan? - Well, no.

There are SO many things that have been written about food - how can we eat anything without stressing ourselves what it will cause in our body or what harm it might do to animals? Eating has become a complicated matter these days. In my opinion, this is because we THINK way too much about it, we over-analyse it instead of FEELING it.

Food, like everything else in this universe, is energy. Just imagine you swallow CONSCIOUSNESS with every bite of your food. What do you think will happen if you eat a cheese sandwich and have a negative belief system around dairy products (like it might be harmful for your body because you have heard so many bad things about cheese)? Of course, if you eat something and "know" deep inside (and this can be a very unconscious process) that it is not good for you ... it won't be good for you!

What I have done for myself (and I had my share of allergies to dairy products in the past) is to believe in my food (yeah, sounds weird I know). If I really can't get around feeling good about something edible, I don't put it into my body and thus into my energy. For example, I don't like to eat meat personally because it doesn't make me feel good afterwards - I feel full and my energy level kinda sinks. Thus, I mainly eat plant-based food cause it makes me feel more alive, more energetic and healthier. I do not consider myself a vegan or anything tho (not even a vegetarian as I love to eat fish from time to time). Generally, I don't think we need a label for anything we do, least of it all for the food we eat. Does that really define us as a person? I don't think so.

So, as everyone is different, I would like to encourage you to feel what kind of food really benefits you (after you've eaten it, not judging the way it tastes) and what your attitude towards certain food is that doesn't benefit you. Maybe you can change some thought patterns that were implanted into you a long time ago and don't really serve you.

The main thing is, after all, to enjoy the food we get to eat every day. A little thank you and appreciation for your food before eating can also raise its energy level and make it even easier to digest!

Be blessed and dig in!
